The Canberra Festival Ballet School (CFBS) offers excellence in dance training from 3 years plus. Our mission is to provide outstanding teaching in a positive environment - nurturing the potential of all students.

Led by Director Cheryl Edmondstone Juelg, our teaching faculty are carefully selected for their excellent performance and teaching skills.

Our quality facilities are also testimony to our endeavor to give students professional tuition in a professional environment.  Every student is important and whilst we encourage excellence we also endeavour pass on to all students a truly memorable experience and a love of dance!

Classical Ballet at CFBS

Students of the Canberra Festival Ballet School enjoy the benefit of a dual training system - studying the RAD and Cecchetti syllabus from a teaching faculty qualified in both methods. Examinations in both are encouraged but not compulsory. CFBS is delighted to offer this dual training system which is unique in Canberra.

With professional and qualified teaching, CFBS can offer students jazz, funk and hip hop in a fantastically fun atmosphere. Examinations are also offered using the Australian Teachers’ of Dancing syllabus.

Pre-school Dance

CFBS offers a unique training system to instill essential learning skills in its’ very little dancers and an absolute love of Dance! Using the Australian Teacher’s of Dancing pre-school dance syllabus and a specially designed model unique to the Canberra Festival Ballet School, we are delighted with the way our very little dancers love coming to their lessons. This makes it easy for us to instill their learning skills and developmental dance skills.
